About Michael Paul Escanuelas
I am Michael Paul Escanuelas. I sing in the band The Motel Life, a five-piece indie rock act out of Los Angeles, CA. We are a small but mighty band with hearts of gold. We have been around since 2007 and have been on 6 self booked tours. That’s where this book comes in. We recently went on tour through the west coast and midwest. It was the most ambitious tour we have yet to be on and the most rewarding.

This is a comic book detailing out adventure. The road is a lonely place. Going out in the world, doing your thing, and showing it to many people is always an experience with mixed results. You have a lot of down time during these trips and you have a hell of a lot of time to think to yourself. This book details a taste of the things we have experience as a band, personal thoughts, and good times shared.

These comics were written while on the road during October 14th through October 27th 2011 and then drawn once I got home. Sometimes our experiences can be rough, but most of the time we are reminded why we do it in the first place.”
